How does it work?

The hydraulic juice press machine operation is very simple.

No electricity needed, all manually operated, less parts, less things to wear out, less complicated and  easy to clean up. You control how fast the tray is raised or how long it stays compressed. Vegetable pulp can be left compressed for extended time period.

Ground up fruits and vegetables are placed and wrapped in a juice cloth.

The purpose of the cloth is to hold the semi-fluid paste/pulp in the center of the lower food tray.  The cloth  also act as a filter allowing juice to flow through while containing the pulp inside.

The paste wrapped in  juice cloth and being  placed in the lower stainless steel tray.  The tray will be raised by the hydraulic unit simply by moving the actuating lever up–down about ten times. With each stroke raising /compressing the two stainless trays together. . The lower tray will be pressed upward against the upper fixed mounted tray.

Each time the handle moved up/down the tray moves up about 1/2 inch and stay in that position.

Operating this presser is a one hand operation  and does not require great strength.

Ones the trays are fully compressed they  will stay in their position  until the pressure is released by opening the valve at the bottom of the hydraulic unit.

Hydraulic advantage!

The hydraulic unit used in our press is  2 Tons = 4000 pound rated.

To put it in perspective, an average automobile, (full size family sedan’s weight is about 3000-4000 pound or a Chevrolet 1500 series pickup weighs about 4500 pound.) This is the amount of weight/pressure that will  compress  the two stainless trays and same force will be applied to the pulp.

The biggest advantage of this hydraulic unit is that you control how fast the tray is raised/compressed. This hydraulic unit work similar to a ratcheting mechanism. It will keep compressing the pulp tighter and tighter with each stroke of the handle.

You do not need to hold the handle.

You can keep the trays compressed for extended time and walk away from the machine.

Let the hydraulic unit /pressure do its work; allowing all juice to be squeezed out of the pulp.

Leaving  the trays to compressed  will guaranty that all juice will be squeezed out of the pulp.

When you are done, simply open the hydraulic jack’s valve and the return springs will pull the base/lower stainless food tray to the bottom lowest position. The lower stainless food tray slides out of the machine and can be cleaned in a kitchen sink or dish washer.
